JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation has invited a number of investors from the United States (US) to invest in transportation and road connectivity sectors.

"We invite national and foreign investors to invest in airports, ports, transportation terminal networks, trains, and urban mass transportation with a public-private partnership (PPP) scheme," said Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Transportation during the US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC) virtual forum yesterday (20/10).

Sumadi said that the government is trying to make policy breakthroughs and open up all funding scheme options to facilitate investment. One of the efforts, he said, was the ratification of the Omnibus Law by the House of Representatives.

According to him, investors from the US have invested in more than 1,300 projects in Indonesia, mostly in the mining sector. (LK/AR)
