21 October 2020 14:23

JAKARTA. The Ministry of Trade eliminates the Certificate of Origin (SKA) fees to improve export performance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Agus Suparmanto, Minister of Trade, said that previously, exporters had to pay SKA fees to the government. "The temporary elimination of SKA fees for goods from Indonesia is important to accelerate national exports, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Suparmanto in a press release.

Suparmanto added that the elimination of SKA fees is also expected to increase export opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

For the record, the new rule is temporary. "However, it is possible for this rule to be extended," added Marthin, Secretary of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade. (KR/AR)
