BANDUNG - Marketplace lending pioneer, Investree, signed a cooperation agreement with an agriculture technology (agritech) start-up company, eFishery, to distribute financing amounting to Rp 30 billion to fish cultivators in Indonesia. For Investree, this is the first collaboration carried out with an agritech startup in order to expand access to finance and reach more SMEs from a sector that is unique and thick with the nuances of Indonesia as a maritime country, namely aquaculture.
In the first phase of this collaboration, Investree will support the "Kasih Bayar Nanti (Kabayan)" program as a major component of eFisheryFund. eFisheryFund is a digital platform with financing facilities offered by eFishery in collaboration with financial services, in this case Investree, and is specially designed for cultivators. It includes a Kabayan feature in the form of an installment program that partners / cultivators can use to obtain eFishery products such as auto-feeder and fish feed.
Investree's Co-Founder & CEO, Adrian Gunadi, said, “We are very excited to welcome this collaboration because it is something new for us. This cooperation provides 2 (two) types of financing schemes, namely conventional and sharia, so that borrowers can freely choose according to their preferences. Meanwhile, to maintain the quality of their financing, Investree and eFishery implement a rigorous and robust due diligence and credit-scoring system by looking at data from the eFishery IoT and cross-checking the real data in the field. To date, there are more than 500 farmers in eFishery who are supported by eFisheryFund. (LM)
