JAKARTA. PT Industri Kereta Api (Persero) or INKA, plans to develop an electric-powered transportation mode in Bali, together with the Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) of Bali.
Budi Noviantoro, President Director of INKA, said that his party had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Perusda as the BUMD of Bali to develop an electric-powered transportation system.
"In the future, INKA and Perusda Bali will establish a joint venture to develop and operate the transportation system," Noviantoro said in a press release today.
However, Noviantoro emphasized that the establishment of the joint venture would be decided after a feasibility study and other necessary studies. Later, INKA and Perusda will use financial support from the Islamic Development Bank to realize their cooperation. (KR/AR)
