JAKARTA. Jardine Cycle & Carriage Ltd will receive the largest portion of PT Astra International Tbk's (ASII) share dividends, which will be distributed this week (27/10).
According to the disclosure submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), ASII will distribute an interim dividend of Rp27/share (Rp1.09 trillion in total). For information, Jardine controls 50.11% (20,288,255,040) of ASII shares, so it will receive Rp 547.78 billion in dividends.
The party that will receive the second largest portion of the dividends is the public investors, who control 49.84% (20,172,253,200) of ASII shares.
In the first semester of 2020, Astra's net profit was recorded at Rp11.38 trillion, 16% higher than its record from the previous year (Rp9.80 trillion). The figure includes profit from the sale of ASII's PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI) shares to Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited in mid-May 2020. (AM/AR)
