CIMB Niaga strengthens Octo Mobile's security features

JAKARTA - Transaction security is a fundamental matter that needs to be considered by customers. Responding to this, PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (CIMB Niaga), has provided the OCTO Mobile digital banking application that is widely available with a strong security infrastructure so that customers can transact safely and comfortably.

Head of Digital Banking and Partnership CIMB Niaga Bambang Karsono Adi said, transaction security is the focus of CIMB Niaga in developing OCTO Mobile. Therefore, since the beginning, CIMB Niaga has prepared a layered security system and a variety of features that customers can set to improve transaction security.

"One of the breakthroughs we have made is implementing the features of 1 device, 1 cellphone number and 1 user. With these provisions, this digital banking application is safer because it can only be accessed through cell phone numbers and devices registered with CIMB Niaga. That way, customers can use OCTO Mobile comfortably," said Bambang in Jakarta, Tuesday.

In addition, CIMB Niaga also implements a login and verification system for transactions using a secret identity known only to customers. First, the User ID used to log in. Second, the passcode that is sent to the customer's mobile number every time they log in to OCTO Mobile. Third, the OCTO Mobile PIN used to confirm transactions.

Another security feature that can be adjusted is transaction notifications. In addition, customers can also limit transaction limits on OCTO Mobile according to the fairness limit desired, starting from Rp 10,000 to a maximum of Rp 500 million. (LM)
