USD 7.09 million worth of transactions were recorded on the fourth day of TEI-VE 2020

JAKARTA. The Ministry of Trade announced that the purchase mission transaction value on the fourth day of the Trade Expo Indonesia Virtual Event (TEI-VE) 2020 reached USD 7.09 million, three times higher than the record on the previous day.

Ari Satria, Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Trade, said that on the fourth day, six memoranda of understanding (MoU) were signed. The six MoUs were signed by the Indonesian delegation and buyers from 5 countries, namely Germany, Qatar, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.

"The Ministry of Trade remains optimistic that the set target can be achieved," said Kasan, Director General of National Export Development, in a press release received by idnfinancials.com today.

So far, Indonesian food and beverage products, said Kasan, remain the prima donna on the fourth day of TEI-VE 2020. "The trend of organic food demand will continue to increase because the global community really needs them to face the pandemic," said Kasan on the same occasion.

Since it was first opened on Tuesday (10/11), 33 MoUs with a total contract value of USD 458.1 million have been signed, consists of trade transactions (USD 385.1 million) and investments (USD 100 million). (KR/AR)
