Former Peruri boss Prasetio appointed as Garuda CFO

JAKARTA - PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk's (GIAA) EGM on Friday (20/11) officially approved the appointment of Prasetio as its new Chief Financial and Risk Management Officer.

Previously, Mr Prasetio served as Corporate Advisor in the state-owned airline. He also had stints as CEO of state mint Perum Peruri from 2012-2017 as well as in the boards of directors of state-owned regional airline PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Persero) and PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) or Telkom.

Following the EGM, according to information collected by IDNFinancials.com, Garuda Indonesia's board of directors is as follows:

  • Chief Executive Officer: Irfan Setiaputra

  • Deputy Chief Executive Officer: Dony Oskaria

  • Chief Operation Officer: Tumpal Manumpak Hutapea

  • Chief Technical Officer: Rahmat Hanafi

  • Chief Service, Business Development, and Information Technology Officer: Ade R. Susardi

  • Chief Commercial and Cargo Officer: Mohammad Rizal Pahlevi

  • Chief Human Capital Officer: Aryaperwira Adileksana

  • Chief Financial and Risk Management Officer: Prasetio

Prasetio was appointed to the board of directors to replace Fuad Rizal, who briefly served as the airline's acting CEO after the sacking of Ari Askhara following his involvement in the smuggling of luxurious goods on board an Airbus A330-900 newly flown in from Toulouse, France in December 2019.

In addition, during Mr Rizal's stint as CFO Garuda was also involved in financial report manipulation, which resulted in the resignation of Chairal Tanjung and Dony Oskaria from its board of commissioners. (MS)
