Bank HSBC Indonesia provides a credit facility of IDR 1.5 trillion for SCMA

JAKARTA - PT Bank HSBC Indonesia has just provided a loan facility worth IDR 1.5 trillion to PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), a multimedia company owned by the Emtek Group.

Sutanto Hartono, President Director of SCMA, said that the credit facility was provided with a tenor of 36 months from the date of signing the agreement, which happened at the end of last week between HSBC Indonesia and SMCA.

"The company together with its subsidiaries, PT Surya Citra Televisi and PT Indosiar Visual Mandiri, have signed a loan facility agreement with PT Bank HSBC Indonesia," Hartono said in an information disclosure at Indonesia Stock Exchange today. 

However, Hartono did not explain the plan to use the credit facility.

According to idnfinancials.com data, currently 61.64% of SCMA's shares are controlled by PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK). Public investors own 38.33% of SCMA's shares, with each ownership under 5%. As much as 38.33% of shares are treasury stock. (KR/VA)
