Prochiz net profit grew 77.61% in 9M 2020

JAKARTA - PT Mulia Boga Raya Tbk (KEJU), a Prochiz brand cheese producer, posted a net profit growth of 77.61% year-on-year (yoy) in January-September (9M) 2020 to IDR 119.18 billion.

KEJU's net profit for 9M 2020 was supported by sales performance which reached IDR 687.78 billion, according to the recently published financial report.

When compared to the same period last year, KEJU sales actually fell 2.79% yoy. However, the company - which has been operating since 2008 - has lowered its selling expenses by 45.28% yoy in 9M 2020.

A total of IDR 667.64 billion or 97.07% of the total sales of KEJU during 9M 2020 were sales for the domestic market. Meanwhile, the remaining 2.93%, or as much as IDR 20.14 billion, were sales for the export market.

Block cheese product segment contributed IDR 600.93 billion or 87.37% of the total sales of KEJU in 9M 2020. Sheet cheese products contributed IDR 76.16 billion or 87.37%, and other products contributed IDR 10.69 billion or 1.55% of total sales. (KR/VA)
