JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo affirmed his support for law enforcement by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the arrest of Edhy Prabowo, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP). This was conveyed by the President in Youtube, which was uploaded on Wednesday (25/11.)

"Yes, of course we respect the legal process currently underway at the KPK. We respect, and I believe KPK works transparently, openly and professionally," said the President.

According to the President, KPK will work professionally to uncover suspected corruption cases involving Edhy Prabowo. "The government consistently supports the efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption," he said.

For the details, on Wednesday morning at 01.23 (GMT+7), KKP arrested Edhy Prabowo at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, shortly after arriving from working visit from Honolulu, United States. The arrest was suspected to be about baby lobster export permit. (LK/VA)
