OJK stated the financial services sector was steady

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) stated that the condition of the financial services sector was still in a stable and maintained condition amid the national economic recovery due to COVID-19 pandemic. This was conveyed by Anto Prabowo, Deputy Commissioner for Public Relations and Logistics of OJK, in a press release on Thursday (26/11).

He mentioned that the monthly OJK Board of Commissioners Meeting noted the risk profile and capital of the financial services sector were maintained. In October 2020, gross NPL ratio was recorded at 3.15% and the NPF ratio for finance companies at 4.7%. "This condition is supported by the credit and financing restructuring policy," he said.

As of October 26, 2020, credit restructuring reached IDR 932.4 trillion for 7.53 million bank debtors; consisted of restructuring MSME loans of IDR 369.8 trillion for 5.84 million debtors and non-MSMEs of IDR 562.5 trillion for 1.69 million debtors. Meanwhile, the realization of financial restructuring until November 17, 2020, reached IDR 181.3 trillion for 4.87 million contracts. (LK/VA)
