Bank Danamon appoints new independent commissioner

JAKARTA - PT Bank Danamon Indonesia, Tbk. (BDMN) held its Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) today, which approved changes in the Board of Commissioners composition and amendments of the Company’s Article of Association to accommodate the Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulation No.15/POJK.04/2020 dated on 20 April 2020 regarding the Planning and Execution of General Shareholders Meeting for Publicly Listed Companies.

The EGMS approved the appointment of Hedy Maria Helena Lapian as an Independent Commissioner. She possesses extensive experience in the Indonesian banking and insurance industries.

“The appointment of Hedy Maria Helena Lapian as Independent Commissioner will further strengthen the Company’s supervisory functions and corporate governance. With her extensive experience and proven skills in the financial industry, we are confident that she will play a significant role in shaping Bank Danamon as an organization that consistently brings added value to stakeholders and provides positive contributions to the community,” said Yasushi Itagaki, President Director, Bank Danamon.

Bank Danamon’s Board of Commissioners composition subsequent to the appointment of Hedy Maria Helena Lapian becomes as follows:

1. Takayoshi Futae as President Commissioner

2. J.B. Kristiadi Pudjosukanto as Vice President Commissioner

3. Made Sukada as Independent Commissioner

4. Peter Benyamin Stok as Independent Commissioner

5. Masamichi Yasuda as Commissioner

6. Noriaki Goto as Commissioner

7. Nobuya Kawasaki as Commissioner

8. Hedy Maria Helena Lapian as Independent Commissioner * (LM)
