JAKARTA - PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) has signed a Rp 7.8 trillion new contract for the development of a toll road from Solo, Central Java to New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIA) in Kulon Progo. The contract was signed by the company and PT Jogjasolo Marga Makmur (JMM) as the project owner in Jakarta on Sunday (29/11)

According to ADHI CEO Entus Asnawi Mukhson, the company will work on two development packages, namely the 22.3 km Kertasura-Klaten section and the 14-km Monjali-Gamping section. "The work is planned to take place over 730 days after the issuance of notice to proceed," he said in a press release on Monday (30/11).

The toll road, he said, is part of Central Java's Yogyakarta-Solo-Semarang metropolitan area (Joglosemar), connected by the Solo-Semarang and Yogyakarta-Bawean toll roads. The toll road is expected to boost the economy and logistical distribution traffic in adjacent regions.

With the new contract, ADHI has recorded a total of Rp 16.8 trillion in new contracts and Rp 47.3 trillion in order book. Previously, the company posted a Rp 8.7 trillion contract for the Cileles-Panimbang section of the Serang-Panimbang toll road development. (LK/MS)
