Five infrastructure SOEs establish joint venture

JAKARTA - Five state-owned enterprises (SOEs) engaging in infrastructure development have established a joint venture (JV) called PT Jasamarga Jogja Bawen (JJB) to operate and manage to Yogyakarta-Bawen toll road. The JV has Rp 148 billion in authorised capital and Rp 37 billion in placed and paid-up capital.

According to a stock exchange filing on Tuesday (1/12), the five SOEs are PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR)PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI)PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP)PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT), dan PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero).

According to PTPP Corporate Secretary Yuyus Juarsa, the company's investment in the JV is recorded as an investment in an associate enterprise. "The company will receive recurring income from its investment in JJB," he said.

The structure of JJB's placed and paid-up capital consists of 60% from JSMR, 12.5% from ADHI, 12.5% from PTPP, 12.5% from WSKT, and 2.5% from Brantas Abipraya. (LK/MS)
