JAKARTA. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI has received Rp 3.5 trillion in state equity capital as part of the national economic recovery programme.
According to Isa Rachmatarwata, Director-General of State Assets at the Ministry of Finance, this investment is expected to be used in accordance with principles of good governance and intentions in order to produce the best results for the state.
KAI is a strong survivor owing to its adequate crisis management, she said after the signing of the investment on Monday (30/11).
According to KAI CEO Didiek Hartantyo, the funding support will help with the company's liquidity and solvability, particularly for its operations during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. (AM/MS)
