INKA exports three locomotives to the Philippines

JAKARTA - PT Industri Kereta Api (Persero) or INKA has exported three locomotives to the Philippines. The delivery ceremony was attended by INKA CEO Budi Noviantoro at the Port of Tanjung Perak, Surabaya on Saturday (12/12).

According to Mr Noviantoro, the three exported locomotives are part of a locomotive and coach procurement contract signed on May 2018. "The contract to procure three locomotives and 15 coaches is worth Rp 360 billion," he said in a press release on Monday (14/12).

The contract, he said, was signed with Philippine National Railways General Manager Junn B. Magno, and is part of the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises' BUMN Go Global initiative.

Previously, INKA exported two diesel multiple unit (DMU) train sets worth Rp 136 billion and four DMU train sets worth Rp 301 billion on December 2019 and February 2020 respectively. (LK/MS)
