JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Mint (Peruri) has exported 300,000 copies from 1 million passport procurement contracts to Sri Lanka. This was conveyed by Fajar Rizki, President Director of Peruri in a press release quoted on Thursday (17/12).

He said that the passports delivery took place yesterday (16/12) in Peruri Production Area, Karawang, West Java. "The passport delivery was relatively short since we got the contract for printing on July 31, 2020," he added.

According to Rizki, cooperation with Sri Lanka to procure important documents had been going on since 2003. Until this year, Peruri has printed 9 million passport copies. Apart from passports, the company also supplies other important documents to a number of countries.

He also mentioned that exporting passports to Sri Lanka was proof that Peruri's products were able to penetrate international market and competitive. "I hope the delivery, of passports that have not been sent, can be finished smoothly," said Rizki. (LK/VA)
