18 December 2020 12:21

JAKARTA - PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) is still negotiating to cancel an order for 49 units of B737 Max aircraft with Boeing, United States (US). This was conveyed by Irfaniaputra, President Director of GIAA in a public expose report published on Friday (18/12).

"Management will continue to negotiate to delay the delivery of 49 aircrafts and there is an option to cancel the order, but it will take longer for that option," he said.

He mentioned that previously GIAA had ordered 50 aircraft from Boeing. One unit, among the aircraft ordered, had been received by GIAA, but is not to be operated yet due to the current flight authority ban. (LK/VA)
