JAKARTA - PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BLTZ) announced the closure of 2 CGV cinemas in Karawang Regency, due to the regulation of Micro-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBM) from local government.

Yeo Deoksu, Director of BLTZ, explained that the two cinemas were temporarily closed since December 21, 2020. "The company must temporarily close those CGV cinemas until an unspecified time limit," said Deoksu through an information disclosure on Indonesia Stock Exchange.

He added that the closure was also related to high number of Covid-19 in Karawang Regency. Karawang Regency is still designated as a red zone, a term for an area that has a high potential for the spread of Covid-19.

For information, those two cinemas in Karawang are CGV Cikampek and CGV Festive Walk. CGV Cikampek itself just reopened on December 10, 2020, after being closed for several months due to the pandemic. (KR/VA)
