JAKARTA. PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) targets Rp 31.6 trillion in new contracts this year with the majority of the projects coming from the government and state-owned enterprises.

According to Waskita Karya CEO Destiawan Soewardjono, he expects government projects to make up 20% of the company's total projects while state-owned enterprise projects will make up 25% with the rest coming from investment development in order to achieve the target.

The target is 17% higher than the 2020 realisation of Rp 27 trillion, said Mr Soewardjono in a webinar held by PT Samuel Sekuritas on Tuesday (5/1).

Waskita Karya, he added, has set several strategies to achieve the target, including adjusting its project targets with the company's core competency, involvement in investment projects with minority portions, and exploring collaboration within the Waskita Group.

The company's order book is currently at Rp 66.65 trillion, with Rp 27 trillion obtained in 2020 and Rp 39.5 trillion being part of its remaining contracts. (AM/MS)
