Widodo Makmur Unggas optimistic to record positive performance this year

JAKARTA - In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, PT Widodo Makmur Unggas remains optimistic that it can conduct an initial public offering and continue its positive performance this year. The company projects sales to skyrocket by 436 percent and net profit of 259 percent from last year.

"We are optimistic that we can achieve IPO success in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic," said Widodo Makmur Unggas President Director Ali Mas'adi at the Due Diligence Meeting and Public Expose for Initial Public Offering of PT Widodo Makmur Unggas in Jakarta, Monday, January 6, 2021.

WMU focuses on developing the chicken production business, especially during the first half of last year since the production grew 22% to 16,000 tons. "Our consumers are spread all over Indonesia and the national demand for protein for chicken meat continues to increase. So we are sure that this year's sales will grow sharply," added Ali Mas'adi.

Until the first semester of 2020, the Company pocketed net sales of Rp 508.39 billion or a drastic increase of 135.33% from the same period in 2019 of Rp 216.03 billion. The net margin was recorded to have increased by 95.4% to Rp 31.71 billion compared to the same period in 2019 of Rp 16.23 billion.
