SiCepat Ekspress signs CSSA with MCAS' food ordering platform

JAKARTA. PT SiCepat Ekspress Indonesia (SiCepat) announced the signing of a Conditional Share Subscription Agreement (CSSA) to invest up to 51% of shares in DigiResto, a food ordering platform owned by a subsidiary of PT M Cash Integration Tbk (MCAS).

The Kim Hai, Chief Executive Officer of SiCepat, said that the investment will enhance DigiResto's capabilities and reach, amidst the food delivery market share which is estimated to reach US$ 2 billion in 2020.

"Going forward, we will explore further strategic investment opportunities with MCAS Group and we will integrate more of their technology offerings into our supply chain," said Kim Hai in a release received by idnfinancials.com today.

For information, DigiResto was originally developed by PT Digital Maxima Kharisma (DMK), a subsidiary of MCAS. As reported by idnfinancials.com, the platform, which was launched in early December 2020, has more than 2,200 merchants using the DigiResto platform.

Anis Yunianto, DMK Director, said that the investment from SiCepat will accelerate the commercialization of DigiResto to a wider scale. He added that the investment will be used to expand DigiResto's merchant network.

"We are working to fully integrate SiCepat's long-distance service delivery capabilities and provide a comprehensive food ordering solution," said Yunianto. (KR/LM)
