ANTM was sued to pay a loss of IDR 817.46 billion

JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) is obliged to pay a loss of IDR 817.46 billion to Budi Said, a businessman from Surabaya, East Java. The loss value is equivalent to ANTM gold bars weighing 1,136 kg.

As quoted from the pn-surabaya.go.id on Monday (18/1), the obligation was decided by Surabaya District Court last week (13/1), with case Number 158/Pdt.G/2020/PN Sby. "To declare that Defendant I, Defendant II, Defendant III, Defendant IV and Defendant V are guilty of unlawful acts which harm the plaintiff," the panel of judges wrote, quoted from the petitum contents.

A number of names of the defendants, including Endang Kumoro, Head of Emas Logam Mulia Boutique (BELM) Surabaya I ANTM, Misdianto, administration staff of BELM Surabaya I ANTM, and Ahmad Purwanto, General Manufacturing and Service Senior Officer, and Eski Anggraeni.

Other defendants, including BELM Surabaya I ANTM, Yosep Purnama, Vice President of Precious Metal Sales and Marketing, Abdul Hadi Aviciena, General Manager of UBPP LM ANTM, Nur Prahesti Waluyo, Trading Assistant Manager of UBPP LM ANTM, Yudi Hermansyah, Trading and Services Manager of UBPP LM ANTM, Nuning Septi Wahyuningtyas, Retail Manager of UBPP LM ANTM, and PT Inconis Nusa Jaya.
