JAKARTA - Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, reminded that the management of State Sharia Securities (SBSN) project should be carried out prudently and accountably. This was conveyed in her speech of 2020 SBSN Project closing and 2021 SBSN Project kick off, quoted from a press release on Wednesday (20/1).

She stated that SBSN management should be carried out carefully because SBSN was a debt. "The performance and quality of projects, financed by SBSN, must be good. There is a moral obligation to maintain it, because SBSN instrument is based on sharia," explained Mulyani.

For this year, financial allocation for SBSN project amounted to IDR 27.58 trillion, an increase compared to last year's IDR 27.35 trillion. These bonds are allocated for 11 Ministries and Institutions, 847 projects in 34 provinces.

Sri Mulyani said that the implementation of SBSN project must be of high quality despite facing a pandemic. "Seeing the quality of existing SBSN projects, we are optimistic that this year's SBSN project financing quality will be maintained, including its completion,” she added. (LK/VA)
