JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia’s (BI) Board of Governors meeting on January 20-21, 2021 decided to maintain the benchmark interest rate or BI 7-Day Reverse Repo Rate at 3.75%.
For information, BI also maintains the Deposit Facility rate at 3.00%, and the Lending Facility rate at 4.50%.
"This decision is consistent with the low inflation forecast and maintained external stability, as well as efforts to support economic recovery," BI Governor Perry Warjiyo said in a video conference broadcast on BI's official YouTube channel, Thursday (21/1).
BI will also strengthen policy synergy with the Government and other relevant authorities and support various further policies to build optimism for national economic recovery, through opening up productive and safe economic sectors, accelerating fiscal stimulus, channeling bank credit from the demand and supply side, continuing monetary stimulus. and macroprudential, as well as accelerating economic and financial digitization.
