President Jokowi will receive second injection of Covid-19 vaccine tomorrow

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo has been scheduled to receive a second injection of Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday (27/1) tomorrow at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

This was conveyed by Heru Budi Hartono, Head of Presidential Secretariat, through a press release received by idnfinancials.com. "It is planned that the President will receive the second phase of the vaccine tomorrow, Wednesday, as the predetermined schedule," stated Hartono.

Previously, the first vaccine injection was given to the President on January 13, 2021. For information, the CoronaVac vaccine, developed by Sinovac, requires two injections with a dose of 0.5ml each, with a gap of 14 days.

After receiving his second injection tomorrow, Jokowi will inaugurate Commissioner General of Police, Listyo Sigit Prabowo, as Chief of Indonesian National Police. "The inauguration of National Police Chief is also planned to be held tomorrow, after the President has received the vaccination," added Hartono. (KR/VA)
