Aneka Tambang obtained an export permit for washed bauxite ore

JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) has just received approval for the export of 1.89 Wet Metric Tons (WMT) of washed bauxite ore during 2021-2022.

The license was obtained following the downstream project of Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) factory construction. SGAR is owned by ANTM. Previously, ANTM had a bauxite ore export permit of 840 thousand WMT, on the ownership of Chemical Grade Alumina (CGA) factory in Tayan.

The export permit was obtained in accordance with the Regulation of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) No.17, 2020, concerning the exploitation of mineral and coal mining. In this regulation, mineral and coal entrepreneurs must operate and develop domestic mineral refining facilities to obtain export permits.

According to idnfinancials.com data, ANTM's bauxite sales reached 1.23 million WMT. Meanwhile, bauxite production volume was recorded at 1.55 million WMT. (KR/VA)
