Indosat Ooredoo and Snap collaborate to speed up AR adaptation

JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo and Snap are expanding their collaboration to accelerate the adaptation process of Augmented Reality (AR) in Indonesia. Through this strategic move, Indosat Ooredoo and Snap aim to increase innovation in the AR field, as well as increase creativity and engagement between IM3 Ooredoo users, Snapchatters, and brands.

Over the next year, Snapchat and Indosat Ooredoo will launch several programs to bridge the difference between the real world and the virtual world through AR, and also as a means to strengthen the bonds between communities and businesses during the pandemic. One of the programs launched is the AR Creator Fund, a program that will open doors and provide opportunities for creative workers in Indonesia who work in the AR field.

Director and Chief Operating Officer of Indosat Ooredoo, Vikram Sinha, stated that “Indosat Ooredoo is committed to providing the most innovative digital experiences for Indonesians through collaboration with major players in this field.”

The program will include webinars, competitions and job opportunities for the participants. Apart from that, Snap also plans to launch a new AR Lens every week for Indosat Ooredoo customers; Meanwhile, Indosat Ooredoo will offer additional data packages for new Snapchat users, so that customers can maximize the AR experience on the Snapchat platform.

As part of this collaboration, Indosat Ooredoo is also trusted as Snap Authorized Sales Representative to manage advertising opportunities for the Snapchat platform in Indonesia. (LM)
