09 February 2021 10:45

JAKARTA - PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS) claimed no material losses endured by the company, due to a fire incident in one of the shops located at Mall Panakukang, Makassar, on February 6, 2021.

Suryanto, Director of RALS, admitted that the fire had burned all merchandise and inventory of the company in the shop. However, the company has not confirmed the actual value of losses due to the fire.

"The amount of losses, suffered by the company, can be covered by the insurance company and is immaterial to the company's overall operational results," said Suryanto, through an information disclosure on Indonesia Stock Exchange, today.

RALS management will close the shop's operations temporarily. The store will re-operate after an agreement has been reached between the owner of Panakukang Mall building and the company.

According to idnfinancials.com data, RALS's net profit in the first half of 2020 was only IDR 5 billion. This net profit decreased 99.1% year-on-year, due to the closure of 94 outlets during March-June 2020. (KR/VA)
