JAKARTA - Yesterday (8/2), Grab announced a partnership with Yummy Corp to empower culinary entrepreneurs to develop and expand their business in Indonesia.
Expansion of cloud kitchens and virtual restaurants: Grab and Yummy Corp plan to provide more cloud kitchens in Indonesia. The two companies currently operate more than 80 cloud kitchens in 7 cities in Indonesia. The combination of the data held by Grab and the food operational management capabilities of Yummy Corp, the two companies work together to expand the cloud kitchen network and help culinary businesses reach new locations and cities, and quickly increase the scale of their business.
“We saw a significant increase in the number of active merchant partners at GrabFood in December 2020 compared to January 2020. Bringing these culinary businesses onto our platform is the first step. We also want to help them develop and access digital capabilities so that they can thrive in the digital economy ecosystem,” said Neneng Goenadi, Country Managing Director of Grab Indonesia.
Grab plans to provide marketing and technology support to help Yummy Corp merchant partners get the most from the Grab platform. Through this collaboration, Grab customers can enjoy more restaurant and food choices. (LM)
