Mandiri Capital prepares IDR 100 billion to fund startups

JAKARTA. PT Mandiri Capital Indonesia will continue to invest in a number of start-up companies (startup) and has prepared around IDR 100 billion of funds this year.

Chief Executive Officer of Mandiri Capital Eddi Danusaputro said that although he was still cautious in investing, his party had prepared funds for new startups or existing portfolios that were previously funded.

"The total is more than IDR 100 billion. We are ready for new investment and follow on funding," said Eddi as quoted by Bisnis.com, Wednesday (10/02/2012).

He further explained that he would inject funds into insurtech and untouched fintech areas. This year he prepares investment funds for three to four new startups. Until now, Mandiri Capital has disbursed investment funds of more than IDR 1 trillion to fintech in Indonesia. (AM/LM)
