Bank Bukopin was sued for compensation of IDR 200 billion

JAKARTA - PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) was sued by one of its debtors, to pay material and immaterial losses, of IDR 200 billion. This was stated in the petitum of the plaintiff, Ade Dahlan, which was registered last week (10/2) at pnjakartapusat.go.id.

Regarding the contents of the lawsuit, Meliawati, Corporate Secretary of BBKP, said that Ade Dahlan was a pre-retirement debtor of Bank Bukopin Gunung Sahari branch office, with a credit limit of IDR 204.40 million and a period of 172 months. "The credit agreement was signed by the plaintiff and BBKP on November 9, 2018," said Meliawati in an information disclosure quoted on Wednesday (17/2).

According to her, the company has sought a meeting with Ade Dahlan regarding the complaint. "Until now, the company has not received a court summon and lawsuit regarding the case," added Meliawati.

Another party being sued by BBKP debtor was Nurlela. However, Meliawati explained that Nurlela was not a BBKP employee and did not have any relation. (LK/VA)
