JAKARTA - PT Bio Farma (Persero) received a credit facility amounting to IDR 1.5 trillion from PT Bank Danamon Tbk (BDMN) to support the production of the COVID-19 vaccine. This was conveyed by Herry Hykmanto, Director of PT Bank Danamon Tbk (BDMN) in a press statement quoted on Friday (19/2).

He conveyed that the financing was carried out through Bank Danamon's sharia business unit. "Bank Danamon wants to participate in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia through a partnership with Bio Farma," he said.

The financing cooperation to produce the COVID-19 vaccine is expected to help accelerate economic recovery.

As an information, the government has assigned PT Bio Farma (Persero) to produce the COVID-19 vaccine. This year, the government is targeting 70% of Indonesia's population to get vaccinated against COVID-19. (LK/LM)
