JAKARTA - PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero) (PII) is the guarantor for the risk of failure and termination of Jatiluhur I Regional Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) Project, for 15 years. This was conveyed by Wahid Sutopo, President Director of PII, in a press release quoted on Monday (22/2).
He said the Jatiluhur I Regional SPAM project was the first inter-province Regional SPAM Cooperation project in Indonesia. This project, he continued, was the fifth SPAM project guaranteed by PII after Umbulan SPAM, Bandar Lampung SPAM, West Semarang SPAM, and Pekanbaru SPAM.
"With this guarantee scheme, investors and financial institutions are expected to be more confident and participate actively in financing infrastructure development," said Sutopo.
The signing of the project guarantee took place last week (18/2), which involved the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing as the person in charge for the cooperation project, PT Wika Tirta Jaya Jatiluhur, a consortium for the Jatiluhur I SPAM project, including PT. Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), PT Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Tbk, and PT Tirta Gemah Ripah. (LK/VA)
