BNI records credit growth

JAKARTA - Credit distribution from PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) grew throughout 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic compared to 2019. In the same period, collected third party funds (DPK) also experienced growth.

In the 2020 Annual Report quoted on Thursday (25/2), Royke Tumilar, President Director of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) conveyed that the loan provided was IDR 586.20 trillion, up from IDR 556.77 trillion in 2019. The largest segments of credit recipients include working capital, investment and consumers.

BNI also recorded non-performing loans of IDR 11.81 trillion, up from IDR 7.22 trillion, doubtful credit collectibility of IDR 3.49 trillion, up from IDR 695.68 billion, substandard IDR 9.32 trillion, up from IDR 5.04 trillion, credit with special observation IDR 29.06 trillion, up from IDR 25.41 trillion.

While DPK collected customer funds of IDR 647.57 trillion, growing from IDR 582.54 trillion. The largest contributors to deposits in 2020 came from current accounts of IDR 224.66 trillion, savings of IDR 223.68 trillion, and time deposits of IDR 99.22 trillion. (LK/LM)
