JAKARTA - PT Merdeka Gold Cooper Tbk (MDKA) will carry out a private placement by issuing 1,007,259,165 shares next week (4/3). This was conveyed by Adi Adriansyah Sjoekri, Corporate Secretary of MDKA, in an information disclosure on Thursday (25/2).
He explained that the shares to be issued were the remaining shares from the previous private placement. This capital increase plan was approved by shareholders at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on January 13 last year.
There was no mention of the exercise share price and the parties that would take part in this corporate action.
By January 31, 2021, MDKA's authorised capital was IDR 1.4 trillion with fully paid-up and issued capital of IDR 437.95 billion. The shareholder structure includes PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk (SRTG) 18.314%, PT Mitra Daya Mustika 13.466%, Garibaldi Thohir 8,204%, PT Suwarna Arta Mandiri 6,333%, Regional Government of Banyuwangi Regency 4.445%, Gavin Arnold Caudle 0.363%, Hardi Wijaya Liong 0.316%, Heri Sunaryadi 0.023%, Richard Bruce Ness 0.022%, Tri Boewono 0.021%, and the public 47.463%.
For information, MDKA has carried out a private placement by issuing a maximum of 2,082,259,165 shares, with a nominal value of IDR 20 per share, on July 18, 2019. The remaining shares from the corporate action amounted to 1,007,259,165 shares. (LK/VA)
