Waskita Toll Road divests 20% stake in toll road to Samuel Aset Manajemen

05 March 2021 14:15

JAKARTA. Waskita Toll Road (WTR) divested 20% stake in the Semarang-Batang toll road to RDPT Samuel Aset Manajemen Jalan Tol (RDPT-SAMJT) for IDR 1.5 trillion.

President Director of WTR, Septiawan Andri Purwanto, in a press release on Friday (5/3/2021), explained that the proceeds from the divestment will be able to support WTR's business process going forward.

WTR has signed a Conditional Sale Purchase Agreement (CSPA) with RDPT Samuel Asset Toll Road Management. The equity-based RDPT was formed by an Investment Manager, namely PT Samuel Aset Management (SAM) and as a Custodian Bank, namely PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.

Destiawan Soewardjono, President Director of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, said that this corporate action is the first step in 2021, following the release plan last year due to pandemic constraints so that the divestment was delayed.

Currently, WTR has a 40% stake in the PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang section, which is a toll road business entity that owns the Semarang - Batang toll road concession. (AM/LM)
