JAKARTA - PT Trans Retail Indonesia (TRI) was sued for Postponement of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) by PT Makmur Jaya Serasi (MJS) at the Central Jakarta District Court. The lawsuit was registered last week (2/3), with case number 104/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2021/PN Jkt.Pst.

As quoted from pnjakartapusat.go.id on Monday (8/3), the applicant for MJS lawsuit, through their attorney, Donny More Munthe, said that the panel of judges from commercial court granted his client's lawsuit and gave PKPU for 45 days to TCI, a company previously known as PT. Carrefour Indonesia.

In the petitum, MJS requested the panel of judges to appoint a supervisory judge for supervising the PKPU TCI process, and appointing a curatorial team if TCI declared bankrupt. "To punish Trans Retail Indonesia to pay all court fees," said the applicant as quoted from the petitum’s content.

The details of the dispute between MJS and TCI are still unclear. For information, TCI manages  Transmart shopping center, under the CT Corpora Group. (LK/VA)
