JAKARTA. The increasing use of internet data as a result of the Work From Home (WFH) policy has boosted the performance of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN). The telecommunication company's revenue in 2020 increased 34.62% to IDR 9.41 trillion.
The 2020 financial report revealed that FREN booked an operating revenue of IDR 9.41 trillion, while in the same period in 2019 it was IDR 6.99 trillion. Even though FREN succeeded in suppressing the increase in operating expenses and interest expenses, FREN still posted a net loss of IDR 1.52 trillion, down from IDR 2.19 trillion in 2019.
Until 2020, FREN recorded an accumulated loss of IDR 25.62 trillion. Meanwhile, total equity reached IDR 12.36 trillion and total liabilities of IDR 26.32 trillion and total assets of IDR 38.68 trillion. (AM/LM)
