Indika teams up with Fourth Partner Energy to develop renewable energy

JAKARTA. PT Indika Energy Tbk. (INDY) and Fourth Partner Energy, one of the largest solar energy companies in India, established a joint venture (JV) called PT Empat Mitra Indika Tenaga Surya (EMITS). The company will be engaged in the field of New and Renewable Energy (EBT).

INDY President Director Arsjad Rasjid said that the JV was a manifestation of the company's commitment to diversify its business portfolio to achieve sustainable goals and improve the performance of ESG [Environmental, Social, and Governance]. The JV is also in an effort to support the Government to achieve the energy mix target of 23% by 2025. "The cooperation will provide an energy solution platform for the commercial and industrial sectors in Indonesia," said Arsjad.

According to Arsjad, Indonesia has great potential in the EBT sector, where its utilization requires a large and intensive investment and commitment from stakeholders. So that INDY collaborates with experienced partners to bring reliable solar energy solutions at affordable prices to Indonesia.

Fourth Partner Energy Co-Founder and Executive Director Vivek Subramanian said that this collaboration was an important part of the company's strategic expansion into important markets in Southeast Asia. (AM/LM)
