JAKARTA - The National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) stipulated Sadikin Aksa, a former President Director of PT Bosowa Corporindo, as a suspect for ignoring a written order from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), regarding PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP). Aksa's action was alleged to have violated Article 54 of Law No.21/2011 of OJK.

In a press release quoted on Friday (12/3), Police Brigadier General, Helmy Santika, Director of Special Economic Crimes at Bareskrim Indonesian Police, said that Sadikin Aksa allegedly failed to carry out OJK's written order No.SR-28/D.03/2020, issued on July 9, 2020.

The contents of the order included giving special powers to the technical assistance team from PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk to attend and exercise their voting rights at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) of BBKP, as well as the deadline for granting power of attorney and submitting report on power of attorney issuance to OJK by July 31, 2020.

Bareskrim Indonesian Police found another fact that after OJK issued the letter, Aksa resigned as President Director of Bosowa Corporindo on July 23, 2020. However, he was still involved in shareholders’ joint activities between BBKP and OJK on July 24, 2020. “Aksa's resignation as President Director of Bosowa Corporindo was not informed to the OJK,” said Bareskrim Indonesian Police.

Moreover, on July 27, 2020, Aksa sent a photo of the power of attorney via WhatsApp application to BBKP’s president director, stating his position as president director of Bosowa Corporindo, on July 27, 2020. For information, Bosowa is one of BBKP's shareholders. (LK/VA)
