Two dam projects worth IDR 1.66 trillion targeted to be completed this year

JAKARTA - PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) is optimistic that two dam projects amounting to IDR 1.66 trillion in Lampung and Wonogiri, Central Java will be completed this year. This was conveyed by Yuyus Juarsa, Corporate Secretary of PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) in a press release quoted on Friday (12/3).

He conveyed the two projects, namely the Way Sekampung Dam Package I and III, Lampung and Pidekso Dam, Central Java. "The government did not stop the work on the two projects during the COVID-19 pandemic because it maintains the sustainability of the economy," he said.

The Way Sekampung Dam project has a contract value of IDR 923 billion with 1,645 days of work and 450 days of maintenance. This project has been in the works since 2016 and was completed in March 2021, while for package III, the work began last year.

The Pidekso Dam, Wonogiri has a contract value of IDR 739 billion, consisting of a phase I contract of IDR 436.9 billion and a follow-up contract of IDR 302.7 billion. Currently, the project work is up to 60.32%.

According to him, the presence of the two projects will boost planting intensity through irrigation for farmers in the area around the dam. After the COVID-19 pandemic, he said, the economies of the people in the two regions could quickly recover. (LK/LM)
