SURABAYA - Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi revealed that the synergy between the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of BUMN is very important in encouraging increased exports. For this reason, cooperation of all parties is the main key in sustainable economic growth.
This was conveyed by the Minister of Trade when releasing exports with agricultural products worth IDR 140 billion to 12 countries in Surabaya, East Java on Friday (12/3).
The commodities exported consist of 34 types. These commodities include meatball, swallow's nest, animal feed, premises, dry lizard, dried centipedes, animal amino acids LLysine sulfate, animal feed, pasteurized milk, milk, round coconut, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, coffee beans, cloves, and allformilk sillage fibers. These commodities will be exported to 12 destination countries, namely the United States, Hong Kong, Timor Leste, Germany, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, China, Vietnam, South Korea, Egypt, Singapore, Bangladesh.
The Trade Minister conveyed that trade is one of the most important things in stimulating the economy. "With Indonesia's total consumption reaching 59 percent of Indonesia's gross domestic product (GDP), we must maintain consumption so that people can drive industry and exports increase," said the Trade Minister.
Based on data from the Agriculture Quarantine Agency, the Ministry of Agriculture, nationally, agricultural products exported until March 2021 were 81.3 thousand tons with a value reaching IDR 1.26 trillion. These commodities consisted of food crops totaling 8.5 thousand tons worth IDR 125.8 billion (9.95 percent), horticulture as much as 487.9 tons worth IDR 47 billion (3.71 percent), plantations as many as 72.2 thousand tons worth IDR 997.3 billion (78.9 percent), and 27.8 thousand tons of livestock with a value of IDR 94 billion (7.43 percent).
