16 March 2021 20:13

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Securities Rating Agency (Pefindo) has affirmed PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP) Sustainable Bond II Phase I Year 2018 at the idBBB level for the next one year.

Hendro Utomo, Director of Pefindo, said that the rating was given in accordance with BCAP's financial data and information as of September 30, 2020 and December 31, 2019. "Debt securities with idBBB rating indicate adequate protection parameters compared to other Indonesian debt securities," he said through an information disclosure at Indonesia Stock Exchange today.

However, poor economic conditions could weaken BCAP's ability to meet its long-term financial commitments, continued Utomo.

According to idnfinancials.com data, BCAP bonds, affirmed by Pefindo, have a principal amount of IDR 300 billion. This debt security has fixed interest rate of 12.5% per year and will mature on July 3, 2023.

As of October 31, 2020, PT MNC Investama Tbk (BHIT) controlled 53.97% of BCAP's shares. Meanwhile, 9.91% shares were owned by Jalan Pantai Limited, 9% by UOB Kay Hian (Hong Kong), 8.59% by HT Investment Development, 18.53% by public investors, and the rest was treasury shares. (KR/VA)
