Antam spent IDR 3.69 billion for exploration in February 2021

JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), a gold mining company, or known as Antam, reported funds allocation of IDR 3.69 billion that had been channeled for exploration during February 2021.

The exploration activities included gold exploration in Pongkor, West Java. In this area, the company carried out geological modeling, drilling and geological mapping.

In addition, ANTM also carried out nickel exploration in Southeast Sulawesi and East Halmahera, as well as bauxite in West Kalimantan.

According to idnfinancials.com data, ANTM sales reached IDR 27.37 trillion. With this sales performance, the company posted a net profit of IDR 1.15 trillion. Of all product segments, the precious metals and refineries segments contributed around 65% or IDR 17.79 trillion.

Until the end of December 2020, 65% of ANTM's shares were controlled by the Government of Indonesia through PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Persero) or Inalum. Meanwhile, as much as 35% of shares were owned by public investors, with each ownership was below 5%. (KR/VA)
