AIMS losses soars to IDR 863.06 million in 2020

JAKARTA. PT Akbar Indo Makmur Stimec Tbk (AIMS), a company engaged in coal trading, posted an even bigger loss in the 2020 financial year, amounting to IDR 863.06 million.

When compared to the previous year, AIMS 'losses in 2020 increased 23.8% year-on-year (yoy). For information, the total loss of AIMS in the 2019 financial year was IDR 697.16 million.

Based on the recently released financial statements, AIMS's revenue in 2020 was recorded at IDR 4.72 billion. Meanwhile, in the 2019 financial year, the company did not record any revenue at all.

However, the company's financial cost increased more than 3 times in 2020, due to bank administration fees of IDR 1.74 million. In addition, AIMS also has income tax payable of IDR 23.59 million which was paid in the 2020 financial year. Overall, the company's total operating expenses increased by 53.5% yoy to IDR 1.07 billion.

According to idnfinancials.com data, AIMS's total assets at the end of 2020 were recorded at IDR 20.78 billion. As much as 77.27% of the company's shares are owned by PT Aims Indo Investama, 5.03% shares are owned by Efendi Leman, and 17.7% are owned by public investors with ownership portion below 5%.
