Centratama Telekomunikasi obtained a rights issue permit of 34 billion shares

JAKARTA - PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (CENT) has obtained permission from its shareholders to issue 34 billion new shares by providing Pre-emptive Rights or a rights issue.

The nominal value of the new shares to be issued is IDR 100 per share. Thus, CENT's authorised capital increased by IDR 3.5 trillion to IDR 6.9 trillion.

As reported by idnfinancials.com, the issuance of the new shares will be carried out by CENT, a maximum of 12 months after obtaining approval from shareholders. Afterward, the share ownership portion, of the company's current investors who do not carry out the rights issue, will be diluted by a maximum of 52%.

According to official information from CENT's management, the proceeds from the issuance of these new shares will be used for working capital and capital expenditures. In addition, the company will also use these funds to support the growth of the telecommunication businesses. (KR/VA)
