24 March 2021 14:38

JAKARTA. PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BLTZ), the managing company of CGV cinemas in Indonesia, has announced the reopening of CGV Purwakarta after months of inactivity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yeo Deoksu, the Director of BLTZ, clarified that the reopening of said cinema located in Sadang Terminal Square, Purwakarta, has received a recommendation from the COVID-19 Response Task Force Purwakarta. Prior to this decision, the company has also reopened the CGV cinema at Madiun, East Java, in mid-March of 2021.

“The company has arranged several health protocols obeying the official guide from the Ministry of Health and the Purwakarta Regional Regulations,” Yeo explained via the official statement received by idnfinancials.com.

Yeo claimed that the reopening of CGV cinemas in several cities would deliver some positive impacts, not only for the domestic film industry but also for employment opportunities.

As previously reported by idnfinancials.com, BLTZ only obtained IDR 234.49 million revenue throughout January-September 2020 (9 months). During the same period on the previous year, the company’s revenue managed to reach IDR 1.03 billion. Thus, this more recent performance had forced the company to suffer losses up to IDR 303.04 billion. (KR/ZH)
