OJK: Credit restructuring is sloping

25 March 2021 06:11

JAKARTA. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) noted that the development of credit restructuring was getting slower and the level of gross non-performing loan risk was maintained at 3.17%.

"Currently, the restructuring progress is sloping," said Wimboh Santoso, Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners in a webinar, Wednesday (24/3).

According to Wimboh, with a manageable level of risk, banks have time to form reserves gradually, and the real sector has room to bounce back.

OJK is currently continuing the restructuring policy so that debtors can carry out recurring credit restructuring as long as they still have business prospects and are not subject to unnatural / excessive fees.

As of March 8, 2021, the amount of bank credit restructuring reached IDR 999.7 trillion from 7.97 million debtors, consisting of 6.17 million micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with a total credit of IDR 392.2 trillion and non-UMKM 1.8 million debtors with a credit value of IDR 607.5 trillion.
